Deserted libraries

‘’Libraries were full of ideas
Perhaps the most dangerous
And powerful of all weapons’’

A library means a collection of books, magazines and newspapers, etc. libraries are a temple of knowledge. These are the symbol of success of a country. These broaden the mental horizons of students. These help students to grasp over the knowledge of the world. We can say that a library is a condensed form of knowledge which melts as much as a researcher researches anything.
These play an important role in the development of a country. If the people of a country have keen interest in libraries or the most visited places of a country are libraries, this country will make progress by leaps and bounds, it will appear on the map of world as the most advanced and civilized country.

If we caste a cursory glance at the list of technologically advanced countries, we come to know that these countries have achieved this success by familiarizing themselves with libraries. The western countries are introducing new machines on every passing day for they have interaction with books.

On the other hand, quite sorrowfully, our country- Pakistan- is deprived of the blessing, trend of libraries. We are not interested in books but are in social media. This shows our distance from books which is increasing day by day. By and by, we shall face the music. Hardly do we listen that this student, who is a part of an institute of Pakistan, invented a new technology.
The internet, no doubt, is a big source of knowledge but the importance of libraries cannot be decreased by the internet. Libraries help a student to increase his realm of wisdom and he starts to think and observe the things more critically and, in this way, he emancipates from the confusing bushes of darkness that are blocking his faculty of thinking.

In a nutshell, a student not only confines himself to the sallybus books but he also tries his best to utilize the facility of libraries. He should adopt this thing as a habit to read constructive books including the newspapers on daily basis. This habit will polish his abilities and will lead him to a bright future. We should try to develop an atmosphere of book-reading and there require more efforts. This can happen only by the individual as well as collective efforts.
