Owing to the craze of getting high marks or grades, the critical creative and independent thinking of a student is neglected, Schools aim at expanding their way to collect money: they have no concern to induce an approach ‘how to think’ into students. Upto the Matric students are made to mug up and vomit out the syllabus- especially in so called grammar schools- to achieve a marked position in boards. That’s why, students are unable to perform upto-the-mark in competitive exams such as CSS.
An individual as well as holistic approach should b taken to unveil the blindfold which hidden the qualities of students. Some of them are as follow:
Firstly, instead of discouraging, we should encourage the students to ask questions of ‘how’ and ‘why’. Secondly, we should promote ‘exchanging rather than transferring’ knowledge. Thirdly, a student should also be engaged in constructive activities such as debate, speech, writing etc.
In this way, the inborn qualities of students get polished and they can be utilized for the development of motherland- Pakistan.
