Corruption and Pakistan

It’s an evil act by an individual or a group. Most noteworthy, this act compromises the rights and privileges of others. Most probably, people in positions of authority are susceptible to Corruption. Corruption certainly reflects greedy and selfish behavior; The abuse of political power to meet personal gain is termed as a graft. Corruption which has emerged from the negative mindset of people is a poison and harms individuals and a nation. It affects the social, political, and economic activities of the nation just as it’s been going on in Pakistan. Corruption remains a substantial obstacle for Pakistan where it is still perceived to be widespread and systemic.

Corruption in Pakistan is not up to the minute It’s been rooted since the colonial period when the British left and awarded some people lands who were loyal to them; This led to nepotism, chaos, and corruption. Despite countless efforts, we couldn’t get rid of this. Meanwhile, in 1999 Pakistan’s president General Pervez Musharraf introduced NAB(national accountability bureau. After that, In 2018 When Imran khan was on a campaign to be the prime minister of Pakistan he used corruption as a tool. Although, both tried to ostensibly control corruption both have failed miserably, and instead, corruption has plateaued to a whole new level.

Masses have been playing a significant role in it. Although everyone believes to be right, albeit, not being; Several surveys have proved this corruption. We think of a single, small common or whatever we consider it to be that out of 100 Pakistanis only 4,5 Pakistanis are abiding by the rules for even riding bikes. If one owns a bike; He won’t have its papers, helmets, license, and even mirrors. This is a small thing for them but here comes a question, are the politicians only doing corruption?

In a society where kinship ties have yet to be transformed, a state anchored by patron-client politics has prohibited a clear separation of the state and society – disempowering people to make the state accountable in overcoming corruption.

Corruption in Pakistan is an effect of the incomplete process of state formation, which has failed to establish a sharp boundary between the state and society.

The only way to ensure a weeding out of corruption is to ensure the non-interference of non-political institutions in politics. Masses contribution in eradicating this thing too is important If they consider Pakistan their homeland and serve it with true zealous and passion just like overseas Pakistani do when they move abroad then the progress of Pakistan is inevitable.
